A Short Visit from Grandma Patti

My mom sold her house in Iowa and decided to bring all the contents of the house to my house. So she rented a big u-haul truck and arrived at my door with this: The boys were excited to see her. Of course she read them some books, and they laughed and laughed at how she read the books. We made a trip over to Kirtland to see the sites and sights. One of the missionaries that was our tour guide is the daughter of one of my middle school math teachers. If you remember the mono-tone teacher, yep, she's his daughter and has a very lively voice. Roger also sat on the stool President Monson sat on several months ago when he made a visit to Kirtland.
While showing us the kitchen of the Whitney store, one of the missionaries opened the cupboard of the oven and asked Roger if he could fit in there. Even though she was joking, to her surprise Roger took her serious and climbed on in. He was then followed by two of his brothers, Grant stayed behind. They may have been a little squished, but they sure did enjoy it, they didn't even complain when the door was put back on. After that we went to my mom's favorite restaurant, Bob Evan's. The boys enjoyed it, especially since I let the table manners slide a little bit. After that we said good-bye to Grandma Patti not even 24 hours since her arrival. Thanks for coming Grandma, we miss you already!

Is that missionary blond and her name is Karen? Wow, I can't believe she is old enough to be on a mission.

And...WOW, you have 4 boys! How fun! I have two and we have lots of fun together.
